Arlington Security Manager (ASM) - Quick Help

Starting ASM
After you install AKB you can run it either from the Start-->Programs-->Arlington Security Manager menu or by double-clicking the icon placed on the Windows Desktop.

Configuring ASM
Follow these steps to configure ASM for the scenario you have in mind (for example, an Internet cafe or gaming cafe).

  • Select the Cogs icon on the left to display the main Security screen and check the boxes that are applicable in your scenario.
  • Click the Miscellaneous tab to display other security settings and again check the boxes that are applicable.
  • Click the Disable & Hide Drives tab and select those drives you wish to disable/hide.
  • Click the Restrict Programs tab and Add any programs (by browsing to the executable file) you wish to prevent access to.
  • Select the Spanner icon on the left to display the Other Settings screen.
  • Enter a password to control access to ASM and define a Hotkey to retrieve ASM at any time. Also select startup options.
  • Select the People icon on the left to display the Information screen.
  • Click the Windows Info tab to display various Windows parameters for easy reference.
  • Click the Support Info tab and enter relevent support information for quick reference in the future, should you need it.
  • You can also use the Quick Buttons at the right hand side to quickly Shutdown, Restart or Logoff Windows.
  • Purchasing ASM
    As the program ceases functioning after your 30-day trial, you can purchase online at any time via www.arlington.com.au and then enter the Registration information emailed to you.
