"Our Human Resource Department was looking to roll out new benefits to our employees, but wanted to do so in a self-serve type manner. The new benefit involved enrolling online, through the sign-up company's website. About half our employees do not sit at a computer the majority of those are not highly computer literate. The decision was to place a computer just outside of the Human Resources Department, that the hourly employees could access for the signing up of this newly offered benefit. Due to the computer's location as well as the end user's PC skills, it was desired that this computer be made as secure as possible. Visitors to the company could concievably make use of it as well as there being a chance of the intended users altering the operating system or visiting websites and spending time on the computer that was undesirable to the company. Arlington Custom Browser was selected to fullfill our needs. It allowed us to lock out the desktop and operating system from all users, except for the designated administrators, while only allowing the users to access the websites the company wanted them to access. One of the benefit websites the company wanted them to have access to had some non-standard way of utilizing hyperlinks (links to other pages) within their website. This posed a problem as the Arlington Custom Browser believed these links were to non-designated websites. 45 minutes after sending an email, from the US to Australia I got a reply with a fix. One more problem cropped up on this benefit website and once more the response time from Arlington was truly impressive.
